Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity quote pages — not your chat history. The same gap shows up when a co-founder was not in the thread. Here is what to publish, and what to put in a project room.
Generative engines — Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and the rest — do not read your ChatGPT history. They read public pages with a stable URL, a clear claim, and enough context to quote. A private chat is invisible to them. It is also invisible to a co-founder who was not in the thread.
That is the same gap, twice. Search and answer engines quote work that lives on a page. A founding team quotes work that lives in a room. Both fail when the brief is trapped in one person’s chat. Decillion’s blog is how we make ideas citable on the web. The project room is how you make work citable to the next person you invite — without pasting a transcript.

What answer engines can actually use

• A canonical URL that does not change when you rephrase the question.
• A headline that states the claim, not a teaser.
• A first paragraph that defines the thing in plain language — the sentence they will quote.
• An image with alt text, so the page is a complete document.

A citable page is a document, not a teaser

If you want to be the source an answer engine cites for “what is a project room vs a chatbot,” you publish a page that answers that in the first screen. You do not hide the definition under a hero video. You do not split the claim across a social thread. This blog is built that way: one URL per idea, a claim in the title, a definition in the first paragraph.

The human version of a citable page

Inside a company, “citation” means a partner can point at the brief, the thread, and the sandbox and say “this is the work.” Decillion is that room: you describe an outcome, we recommend specialist agents, partners join the same orbit. The public blog will never contain your cafe’s supplier list. It does not need to. Your project does.
If you only need an answer, a chatbot is enough. If you need a crew, a partner, or a page the web can quote, the work has to live somewhere that is not a private chat. Start from the home page or How it works.
